Design of retaining wall in Delphi A open channel at Mornos aqueduct


Due to severe rock sliding / falling in Delphi A open channel at Mornos aqueduct, a retaining wall was design to prevent this phenomenon.

This technical study focused on the design of a retaining wall along Delphi A’ open channel at Mornos aqueduct. Its purpose is to protect the channel by collecting rocks that slide / fall along the channel. The total length of the retaining wall is 40 m. Along with the wall, an energy absorption fence and an 80 m curtain grid are placed.
